PIGROL Beutenschutz-Lasur (Beehive glaze)

PIGROL Beutenschutz-Lasur is a highly weather-resistant wood glaze, wich was specially formulated for the treatment of beehives and bee houses as well as for all wooden parts and tools used in beekeeping.

The high quality wood glaze is a combination of residual monomeres free acrylate dispersion and modified natural plant waxes. It penetrates deeply into wood to give a dirt- and water repellent, absolutely tack-free surface that will protect the wood against the weather and moisture without any effects on the bee population. The glaze is hard-wearing, free of hazards, moisture regulating and breathable. Saliva- and perspiration-resistant in accordance with DIN 53 160. Also conforms with EN 71 part 3 European Standard  for the Safety of Toys.  This product offers a very easy and clean application due to the gel-like consistence.

Light-resistant, micronized pigments give intensive color to the deeper layers of the wood and prevent long-term graying of the wood through UV radiation. This product is environmentally friendly, i.e. water-borne and from of solvents.

Range of Application

Suitable for all wooden parts in the interior and the exterior, bees could get in contact with, e.g. beehives bee houses, roofs et cetera.
